Growth Marketing Lead
My first Growth Marketing role in 2013 was at Anghami, a music streaming that we took to 25M+ users in 2016, and that later listed on the NASDAQ in 2022 with 80M+ users. I quickly made it into the “core founding team” and kickstarted the digital marketing function with various projects randing from strategy, ops and analytics. I learned the art of growth by "doing”, i.e. setting up data-driven processes from scratch, launching mobile app campaigns, and discovering the B2C Martech categories that still matter today.

My scope revolved around attending bi-weekly meetings for a full-year to provide strategic thinking & growth advisory. I helped in forming a strong fundraising narrative that led to $3M+ in funds invested, and consulted on the startup's GTM strategy that quickly led to $30K+ MRR

With a team of 3 hired by the Berytech Fund, we attempted to turn around a failing foodtech startup whose founders left but still had persistent user traffic. After initial research and analysis, I received buy-in from the fund’s GP and the board to lead a b-model pivot towards e-commerce, then designed the product and marketing strategies that suits the roadmap. The project was halted due to the Lebanese economic and banking crisis of 2019-2020

At ORIGIN, I worked under the head of marketing on more than 8 client projects ranging from large corporates like BCG who were launching their Jeel Tamooh yearly cohort and PwC who were launching their academy's in KSA, to real estate developers launching mega-projects, a new healthy-eating restaurant in Jeddah, and a uniquely differentiated health and wellness center in Beirut. I researched markets, led strategic presentations, and launched complex digital campaigns.

At this language learning startup, I held a Growth and Business Intelligence exec role, where I took on the challenging task of uncovering the company’s growth model by stitching the data together, and shifting the culture towards data-driven decision-making. In less than a year, I went through data collection, metrics modeling, and setting up dashboards for CAC, LTV, RFM and cohorts while simultaneously pushing 8 customer success managers to optimize NPS and increase sales. I then used the insights to support in raising $3M on a data-driven roadmap and engaging growth narrative.

On another hand, I supported strategy development for a Netflix-like streaming corporate venture and created financial plans to model a $5M strategic investment in the venture, now called 1001.

The venture is still in development and has already made it into the LLoyds Bank Innovation Program, a Dubai-based edtech incubators, and impressed modern parents from around the world.

That's the best outcome for any client.
